Dash lights don't come on

Hi all, last year on a ride that ended after dark I found that the dash lights were not coming on with the head lights. Don't usually have it out after dark. Rotated the lights switch knob, no change. The only dash light, including the console, that comes on is the High beam light. Was thinking the headlight switch but thought I'd throw it out there to make sure that's the issue. Any and all help is appreciated. Have fun!!

Well, i had some time to investigate. Fuse was in fact blown but that's not the root of of the problem. A new fuse blew as soon as I turned the lights on so there is a short somewhere. Not looking forward to pulling the center console and dash to inspect. Perhaps someone might have had a similar issue and knows of a trouble spot in the dash for the lights.Thanks!

That's a tough one. Did you change or work on anything in the dash area before this problem started?

Did you check to see that the fuse was the proper amperage? Just had the same problem. When I replaced the blown 3A fuse with a similar one, it blew. Then I noticed that it should be 4A, which worked fine.

This is an old problem, at least 3 years. Don't remember exactly when it started but it's been a while. Was definitely in the center console a while back and most recently, Last year I think, so I opened the console to take a look. There was nothing that threw a red flag. Don't do much night driving in the car so it's not a priority. It's all back together and I'm headed to Carlisle in the morning. Hope you all attend! Will re-visit it in the future.
