The parts it looks similar to are: 1) a ‘67 tri-power carb linkage clip/retainer (GM 554285); 2) something to do with an internal door rod on C3s (GM 3962782). I can find no such part used on a ‘66, which is all I own. So, I have no explanation why I have it, nor any recollection from whom I got it. A faded memory… Anyone know if there is a clip like this used anywhere in a ‘66?

I believe this is the door rod clip. Such clips were used on C3's; I don't know if they were also used on C2's.

It was also used on a lot of other GM cars and trucks on door lock rods and such. Most good auto parts stores sell them as well

looks very similar to the accelerator rod clip on an FI car.

The clip in the photo is a "left hand" design. The '58 - '65 FI bellcrank clip, GM #3700188, is a "right hand" design.
