1975 C3 12,000 miles

So a neighbor, at our new home, has a 1975 C3 coupe, Mille Miglia Red with 12,000 miles on it. His father bought it new and he inherited it a years or so ago.

The front and back bumpers are very very faded and I saw a small crack in the front bumper. It is a very basic corvette. Everything is original including the paint. I saw one small place where the paint had peeled. It is clean underneath, but not new metal looking. He has the bill of sale and window sticker.

What do you think it is worth? I have a C2 and C4, but do not know much about C3s. I am not sure if I should be interested or not?

That sounds like a very interesting Bowtie candidate if as untouched as you describe.
If no AC and no 4 speed, the actual value isn't that high, however. Any idea what options it actually has?

We bought a very similar 75 coupe, red on black, L48, 4 speed, 336's, and about 50k miles. The original urethane bumpers will crack and fall apart once its in the sun. Our 2 75's had that happen. One looked great until it was out in the sun for the summer and literally cracked and fell off the car from age and sun.

They are nice drivers and good foundations for performance builds but I doubt it will be a high dollar car. We had an L82 4 speed 355 coupe that was a nice car but it was totaled. An L82 4 speed convertible would be worth more as the last year for convertibles.

I don't like to quote pricing since that comes down to what the buyer wants to pay but the low mileage and ownership would boost the value. Our red L48 was $7500. Sounds like it would be a nice car to replace the bumpers and drive it. I would probably install a real dual exhaust and boost the hp to about 350-375 with some other bolt on parts.

It does not have air, but is a 4 speed.

Does it have the L82 engine? If not I would say low teens and if it does, probably high teens and possibly a bit higher if the condition is really nice.

Any chance you could take a few photos of the car Ted? Especially the engine and interior, and post them up. We'd like to see them and they would help determine a value estimate.

Also pay attention to the original documentation. Usually the more horsepower and options the better, but low mileage-original Corvettes with good-to great documentation are fun to own. The more documentation on any Corvette, the better the find!

Hi all I am a new member ,and I don’t know if I am posting in the right place . I just bought a 75 1 owner car with 9800 original miles.. car is in immaculate condition . Options are L48 4speed ps pb A/C leather rear defogger FC-7 suspension .. don’t know the estimate value either

<br />I’m sorry I paid 18,750 .my first C3 . all original #’s matching 4 speed L48 except for brakes and tires which I do have the original spare GR-70 Goodyear. The chassis has the markings and caulk marks from the factory as well .. I’m am going to try and post pics if I figure out how to do it. 😂
