    1975 L-48 Radiator Fan Shroud EXTENSION

    Page 78 of the TIMJG top of the page says "A RADIATOR COOLANT WARNING DECAL IS ATTACHED TO THE SHROUD". Can anyone forward to me what this decal looks like. Every vendor I have checked with only has the decal for the over-flow tank.
    Thanks in advance for your help.

      Again, that is from the second edition 75-77 outdated judging manual. Another item, that perhaps was a carry over from the 73-74 Judging Manual back in the day. We've only seen the Coolant Warning Label used on the '73 small block and big block shrouds. Here is a photo of an original label part #337450 from a '73 L48.

              I believe that most experienced 75-77 judges pretty much ignore the old judging guide at this point.
              I would not add the label to match the very-soon-to-be-replaced manual.

                  And the team leader is reviewing the revision for the mechanical which will complete the proof process with publication, hopefully too soon follow. The team leader or sit in will know what's current and/or outdated as Patrick notes. I sent you the section for your reference. I talked to one of the team contributors who is a member of the Michigan and like Patrick will be at the meet.

                  PS: Remember...benefit of the doubt goes to the owner so don't let a judge hung up on a twenty-year old manual remain recalcitrant.
