    December 69 Date Coded windshield

Does anyone have any recommendation as to the best supplier of correct date coded glass? Need a VX coded windshield. I spoke with Auto city classics and they source from Thailand and have a 6 month back-order currently.

    Thanks,

    Mark

BEFORE you order, talk to shop/person that will be doing this installation. Shop likely have vendors they have learned to avoid.

Windshield have compound curves. Poor quality windshields will have "flat" areas that windshield wipers will NOT clear in rain.

Pilkington glass is the owner of the old Libbey-Owens-Ford Company (LOF) - original supplier of Corvette glass. I would consider Pilkington as a good source.

Whomever you choose as a supplier, you can easily check the manufacturer they are using. Ask supplier for the glass manufacturer's "DOT Code". You can look up this DOT Code using an internet search. This code will identify manufacturer's physical location.
