Re: 1967 column update
Don, I feel your pain.
When you installed the switch, did you take the terminals apart for the connector to get the harness through the housings? Is it possible something is miswired or a bad connection?
The color coding on the repro switch is (slightly)different from originals.
As far as that horn button..... Geeesh!

Re: 1967 column update
I'd suspect your new switch is DOA.
This switch wiring diagram may help...

Re: 1967 column update
Thanks Rich, I have a very similar diagram on the wall next o the Vette.
I did one last diagnostic test. I took the hazard flasher out and installed it for the turn signals, and put the signal flasher for the hazards. The result, the problem followed the flashers, the signals worked and the hazards didn't. So mow all I have to do is get another flasher and I'll call this job done.
Can't wait to see the expression on the owners face when I give him the bill for this.....oh wait, I'm the owner, never mind. The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off.- Top

Re: 1967 column update
That's telling me there may be some high resistance in that Directional switch. The flasher for the Hazards is spec'd for 4(6) lamps. The Signal flasher for only 2(3) lamps.
I'm not sure if you're done yet.
And yes, that's exactly why working on these for financial gain can be difficult to justify. Repros that simply do not work cause enormous diagnosis efforts.

Re: 1967 column update
Well the parts for my daughter's Silverado arrived late this afternoon so I'll get hers done tomorrow after a run to the FLAPS for the flasher. Then i can finish the '67 in time for this weekend. That's telling me there may be some high resistance in that Directional switch. The flasher for the Hazards is spec'd for 4(6) lamps. The Signal flasher for only 2(3) lamps. The flasher had been getting slower with the old TS switch, and I was going to replace it anyway.
I'm not sure if you're done yet. I sure hope I am. I'm hoping to replace the fuel filler neck gasket - without removing the tank.

Re: 1967 column update
Ok, maybe that flasher was marginal before. I hope that's it too. But before your switch change, at least it had function. You may have some other high resistance connection elsewhere so keep that in mind. There are many harness connections for those front lamps. In particular, this 3 terminal mating plugs in the inner fenders. Those are prone to connection faults. May want to check those. And those Park/Directional lamp housings too. Prone to corrosive sockets.
Make sure you get the correct Directional/Signal flasher type. Since yours is a '67, you have 3 lamps per circuit. Correct bulbs play a role too.
Fuel tank filler?
If it's a coupe with the filler extension, that might be trouble. I forgot what yours is. ??
Silverado? Good luck. Nice trucks. I had a 94 and a 06.
