C-3 Steering shaft RAG joint

The TIMJG states on page 99, "steering shaft is natural finish on some cars and semi-gloss black on others. Painted steering shafts predominate on original cars". It doesn't mention the rag joint. What are the appropriate finishes on both the shaft and the joint for my 1975 with P/S?

Robert, thanks for your reply. My biggest question is whether the metal couplers of the rag joint are natural metal or also painted semi-gloss black. The judging guide makes no reference to the rag joint. Thanks again for your reply. Lynn
