    62 Corvette Block # Id

I have a 62 Corvette and the block # us FO2ISRD. I know the F stands for Flint. Could anyone assist in deciphering it?

    Thanks in advance

    I'm not a '62 guy, but could that "S" really be a "5"
if so, I think the "0215" should translate to Feb 15
the engine suffix RD should be for a 327cu in 300 hp car with a manual transmission
a good picture might help, too...
    thx,
    Mark

Link below is to a John Hinckley article on casting numbers. Should help decoding your block information.

          Hi Dave,
is he asking about the BLOCK casting Date?
or is he really asking about his PAD stamp?
          thx,
          Mark

OP asked about PAD stamp. Your and James Gessner's responses addressed this question.

He is also a new member, and given this PAD question, I thought John Hinckley's article would be of interest to him.

I'm guessing OP also does not know how to decipher block casting information.
