    Original 1969 Gease Cap question

According to my research Grease Cap #3953435 is listed for 1969 Corvettes in my 1969 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (May 1969) in Gr. 6.330. The photo below is of two 3953436 grease caps.
According to Chevrolet & GM Parts History GM # 3744926 was replaced by GM # 3953435 in Mar. 1970 which was then replaced by GM # 6274217 in Jan. 1973 with was then replaced by GM 4712162 in Feb. 1980 which was then replaced by GM # 14003444 in July 1981.

Several years ago I bought 2 grease caps from a Corvette Vendor in Florida for a 1969 Corvette and they are identical to a NOS 3984810 grease cap that is original equipment on 1970-1972 Camaro models as shown in the 2nd and 3rd photos.
According to Chevrolet & GM Parts History GM # 3984810 was replaced by GM # 6274217 in Jan. 1973 with was then replaced by GM 4712162 in Feb. 1980 which was then replaced by GM # 14003444 in July 1981.

Is the 39534354 grease cap original equipment on 1969 Corvettes?

Photo #4 is a pair of NOS 3744926 grease caps (from Ebay). They are somewhat similar to the NOS 3953435 grease caps.
All of these caps are 2 5/64" O.D. (or 2.08").

David- These came on this car #307xx, and have never been removed. I do not know the P/N, and cannot get a accurate diameter with the wheel/ tire installed, but I could give you a circumference if that would help E.J.IMG_20211012_174644401.jpgIMG_20211012_174602689.jpgIMG_20211012_174553067.jpg

      Thanks fo responding.
Your grease cap sure looks like the NOS 3953435 grease caps in shown my photo (as I expected). I am sure that it will measure 2.08" O.D. (or 2 5/64"). The NOS 3744926 grease caps have a smaller but more distinct "dimple" with the same 2 5/64" diameter.

The 1963-1968 Corvette grease caps, GM 3775190, have the "dimple" but measure 1 3/4" in diameter.

Profit is #1 and accuracy is #2 with most Corvette vendors that sell reproduction parts.

        Dave------

Attached are photos of an absolutely known-original front wheel bearing grease retainer from my original owner 1969. It's a little bunged up from years of front wheel bearing repacks but it's original. These caps had the center "tit" to center the anti-static device but ones were never originally installed on my car.

One unique feature of these retainers is that they had a galvanized finish, not a zinc electroplated finish like most others. The inside finish shown on mine probably best represents how these retainers originally appeared as it has been protected from oxidation by grease.

I've never seen a "reproduction" of these that was true to the original in all respects. The 3744926 were very similar except for finish
