    1963 DeWitt Radiator

Has anyone recently purchased a 1963 radiator from DeWitt's? Can't view the Harrison tag on top but I think they are incorrect after reading in a much earlier post. Also, does anyone know if they are incorporating the clamp marks as on the originals? No surprise, the prices have skyrocketed.

Thanks in advance for the help.

The price I payed two years ago from DeWitts is about $100 less than what Summit is charging now. Yes they are or did put the the original clamp marks in the reproduction DeWitts radiators, the one I installed in my '64 convertible has the clamp marks. There is one other mark that I found at the top left corner on my original radiator that I think is an inspection mark. I've never seen it mentioned in the 1963-1964 TIMJG. See the attached pictures.

Here’s a pic of a real decal the reproductions are not quite correct.I should note this is a later decal. The early 63 was a thick aluminum tag.

          Fred,

The first picture shows an early version label that is decades old and very thick as mentioned. The second picture shows a very late version label that is very thin and arrived on a new radiator from DeWitt about a month ago.

Thanks all. Sound off if anyone knows of a way to remove the tag from my original radiator and use it on the DeWitt unit.

Didn't Tom sell DeWitts recently? If so doesn't surprise me that standards have dropped!

Yes, IIRC Tom has retired, but that event doesn't necessarily imply the other...
