    A Bit Off Topic but a well-known owenr's C2 for sale.

Not promoting a sale but for any that have known "The Corvette Vagabond" his widow has put his car up for sale. Jack traveled all 48 states in the car as well as 12 European countries. These travels included an overnight stay at my home in Olrando. Its of interest to read the commentary and narrative about the car. Jack wrote a book about his travels IIRC and IMO, he had done what many vintage Corvette owners only dream about.

Bid for the chance to own a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible L79 327/350 4-Speed at auction with Bring a Trailer, the home of the best vintage and classic cars online. Lot #59,734.

Jack's ride in my garage and Jack sitting in my '61 - another Corvette brother sorely missed.

Thanks for posting this Frank. I always enjoyed reading his Corvette road trip adventures and respected his love of the car and the open road.

          Re: Jack Panzica passed

Actually, Jack passed last summer (2020). His car is indeed on BaT and his wife has reached out to me, asking for ideas on how to best market it. She said that between she and their son, they’ve driven it the best they can, however, it’s just too much for them to continue with it. I suggested BaT and/or Hemmings and she chose BaT.

For Jack’s family’s sake, I’m hoping the NCRS community will help by talking the car and Jack’s adventures up on BaT, in hopes it’ll help maximize a return for Patricia. Many of us enjoyed The Corvette Vagabond and his story. There’s some great stories to be told.

Moderators, I hope this post (and thread) are deemed to be ok to appear here. If not, plz accept my apologies

          Thanks

20220525_132216.jpgThe new owner of this car, Mike Donovan, stopped by my place today on his way home to Escondido, California. He and his wife Aimee have driven this car from the pickup point at Jack's place in Maine (along with numerous boxes of original parts Jack took off the car), to their old house in New York, through the NCM to attend a ceremony where a tree was planted in Jack's honor for all his and the car's accomplishments, and is now almost home. The car is looking and running great, and I hope I convinced him to join the NCRS SoCal Chapter now. He is a worthy caretaker of this car, and is continuing Jack's legacy of driving to everywhere.....
