That's a clever solution to the problem, Leo! Congratulations. I'm going to have to try that. I assume you insert the drill shank from the open end for the pump cable? I can't imagine how you could snake it through the two carbon bushings.

FWIW, I've never had any success with the tap method. I've made a puller out of some 1/4" rod stock. It works well on seals which haven't been epoxied in place. For epoxied seals, I use controlled violence and some very choice words.

Thank you Jim, you are correct I did carefully inserted through the pump cable end. I understand the controlled violence and choice word statement also.
