    Date Coded Holley 3370

Happy New Year all. Well I’m one step closer on getting another date coded piece added. I was fortune enough to find a Holley 3370 dated code of 5B4 for my 66 BB with a birthday of 2/66. Placed some WTB adds on the NCRS and the CF boards and found an original, restored 3370. I removed the 770 that was current and installed the new carb. Added a new fuel line and a divorced choke set up, adjusted the usual idle mixture screws, float levels and curb idle speed. The car runs really nice with the orig carb on the stock intake of course. I must add that I purchased the carb from a member here, Mr. Pancho Thompson. He was one of the most honest, helpful, stood behind his word gent I had the good fortune of dealing with. I would highly recommend him. Thank you Pancho!

Paul, Check your aim. I think the throttle rod is reversed. I think the swivel should be at the firewall.
        Kind regards

I drove my '67 for nearly 35 years with a reversed accelerator rod! It was installed that way when I got it and I only noticed something was funky about 5 years ago when I installed a repro Holley on it and was checking the AIM for rod bushings, spring attachment points, etc..

                      Paul,

I've been away from this forum for a while. Just saw this. Nice looking 3370. I'll have to check my accelerator rod for this stamp.

I've read in the past that this "MW" stamp denotes the "Mid Western" company. You'll spot it in a few places here and there. One place is the long straight left and right headlight to grill support rods. Another place that you'll spot this logo is on '66-'67 big block air conditioning compressor support rods. I've attached a shot of mine.

I have seen that manufactures logo on shifter rods.

Mike, I was looking at it upside down....does it matter, lol. I now see the MW. Got the accelerator rod reinstalled the correct way. It was bent a out of shape a bit, so I placed in the vice and gently straightened. Then repainted silver. Came out nice. I was gonna order a new one however that MW stamp would not be on an aftermarket part I’m sure. Does it matter judgement wise? Thanks again to all!
