    1957 what are/were these.,,,

    Got a chance to work on the 57 over the holidays. Not sure I have noticed these before? Does anyone know what was mounted under the rear bumpers and between the exhaust outlet? Something aftermarket of course. Car has traction masters and extra leaf spring, so some racing. Thanks in advance! Could not get the photos to load correctly so, turn your head sideways and you recognize the location,

      If it was raced maybe a pusher bar or a pull point through the body to the frame for towing or pulling the car up on a trailer.

      Also could have been a clearance lamp which would be more visible than the light UP on the top of the quarter panel.

          They look like they are in a good position to have been owner-installed back up lamps.
