Number one thing I find when sorting out restorations with electrical issues is most of the time the grounds are not sufficient mainly because we use way more paint than the general did -
I also use a electrical joint compound on grounds and all electrical connections when I assemble a car.
After grounds you can check continuity through your switches without power to the car or switch. Test meter on continuity setting. check with one lead on the supply side of switch and test on different positions with other lead on the output posts - throw the switch buzz then that switch position is ok. move to next output and move switch etc etcJames A Groome

There is a solenoid on the back of the Tachometer. Make sure a set of wires are plugged in and the vacuum lines are hooked up correctly. Very seldom I see that solenoid go bad.
Also, make sure the wire on the back of the wiper switch is hooked up correctly. It has a tab on it ti keep from installing it incorrectly, but can still be pushed in. The tab should point to the right side of the car.
