    '63 frame stencil question

I know 7 digit is frame part number but can someone decode other numbers and letter? It is a Quanta stamp stencil. Car has VIN 1138XX with build date 04/26/63. Thank you, BruceIMG_0205 (1).jpg

    Re: '63 frame stencil question

303196 is the AO Smith part number.

3819263 is the GM part number.

-2 is a suffix that designated running changes to the frame, e.g. new holes, gussets, etc. By late ‘66, the suffix was up to -27.

The meaning of the -P suffix is unknown to me, but other ‘63 frames have it.

PS. Here’s an example of an original ‘63 stencil. I bet you’ll be neater when you paint yours.

And hopefully straighter. BTW I used SEM 28104 RUST SHIELD semi-gloss for frame and it appears glossy............not what I expected. Bruce
