The camshaft discussed in that article turned out to be less effective than a second design, the McCagh Special camshaft. Do a web search "tale of two camshafts" for the complete design analysis and dyno testing of both cams.
And remember that this camshaft is SPECIFALLY designed for the flow characteristics, particularly the E/I flow ratio, of massaged heads as explained in the article along with a relatively high CR of 10-10.3:1 depending on what your highest commonly available PON.
If you are not willing to invest your time or paying a professional to massage the heads, this camshaft will not perform well on OE heads that have just been rebuilt with new guides and valves. Most of the other recommendations apply to any precision engine restoration, but given that the article was written nearly 15 years ago I expect many of the links are dead.
There is a '64 327/300 rebuilt to the Special 300 HP configuration with the McCagh Special camshaft currently undergoing road testing and tuning and should be ready to roll on a chassis dyno within the next few weeks.
Results will be reported here.

I have written about this before but I used this cam with massaged heads as per Duke in my '69 300HP automatic. Other internal mods were also done but the result is that the engine runs smooth as silk and the seat-of-the-pants feel is greatly improved power. Everything external from the carburetor to the oil pan are as delivered in '69. I never did have a dyno test but the real world feel is far and away better than stock.

I saved the paper years ago for the rebuild. The '63 is getting a spot in the shop again after years for a complete rebuild, life has a way of slowing down some things. Will be looking forward to the new McCagh Special camshaft results. Not in a rush, block & heads are in the tank soaking, slowing cleaning up the bare frame after hanging in shop for 20+ years. Engine is tore down, in the process of checking internal parts condition & if orginial or been replace from another rebuild. I believe the cam has been replaced as I cannot id it. Also condition of it does not look good, will be replacing it per your findings.
