This is stamp for '63 frame Quanta sent and after application I went to my 7th Ed NCRS Guide and it states part no. should be on bottom with date code above it. Will current orientation of letters pass judging or is my next call to Quanta. My stupid mistake for applying stamp before reading guide............unless I somehow have done something wrong. Thanks, Bruce

Re: Quanta frame stamp ????????
The AO Smith part number and the GM part number were sometimes in the opposite positions. The stencils were not all applied by the same person, and there were multiple stencils used, and it was not done the same way on every car. I have a large photo database of ‘66 frame stencils, and the differences thru the model year are remarkable. Quanta has the largest database of original frame stencils for Corvettes, so I would trust what they sent you for your car. The only time I suggest asking Quanta to make up a stencil with a format you specify, is if you know exactly what your original stencil looked like, or you know of an original stencil from another car with a very close build date to your car, e,g., built the same day plus/minus, say a day, and you want your stencil to look exactly the same as that other stencil.
In general, when it comes to frame stencils, I trust Quanta more than I trust what is in the JGs.
