1966 Front Power Brake Brass Block

Converting a 66 from manual to power brakes and need to change the front brass block that is on the frame. I bought a reproduction one but it won't even bolt to the frame as the hole spacing on the bracket is wrong. So the question is now - where can I find the "correct" block. I've checked all of the typical vendors web sites and they all seem to have the same one I bought.

I would call Inline Tube and see if they have what you need. You might email them a picture to illustrate the issue, or provide a dimension of tab to hole centerline for what you need.

You could also modify (extend) the tab on the reproduction with a small amount of effort and a welder.

          Inline tube doesn't have it.

I fought with incorrect reproduction parts when I did my 58 - drove me crazy that the manufacturers would get it 90% right........ Now that I'm doing this 66 I'm starting to have reproduction flashbacks.......

The bolt that holds it has a captive washer, could you file out one side of the hole until the bolt lines up? It appears the bolt would still cover up the enlarged hole?

                Hi Bill,

Yes I could but I shouldn't have to. The part should have been made correctly in the first place. I think I found one at one of the typical vendors - at least it looks like it has the right spacing from the picture on line. Should be here tomorrow. If it's correct, I'll post some pics along with the vendor.

New part came in yesterday. While it is not "exact", it does fit. This part came from Zip.

Couple pics of the three parts.
