Tom, thanks for the email. I have Jim’s list, but the car isn’t on it. It has has the VIN derivative on the plenum, looks like it was stamped with the same stamp as they used on the pad. Engine stamp and broach marks are original, I think. It’s probably real, but I’m just crossing all the T’s. Just wish I knew that the pipes could be real…Mike
Please see my email about the under car exhaust brackets. Also, write to Jim Gessner with the VIN. He has more than half of them listed, I believe.
BTW, Should also be a VIN derivative on the FI unit at RR flat area. Example 5106164 might be the full format, I am not sure. (If the car is number 6164 I have the plenum.)
Larry: My 396 hill climber had pipes when new.
If there are some real fuelies out there with original side pipes, I’d like to hear from the owners, or someone who knows the car…- Top

1965 AIM lists N14 with the L84.
The base engine was EXCLUDED due to a smaller exhaust size, as was the powerglide.
I've looked thru lotza documents, but fail to see any reference to an L84 exclusion.
(that doesn't mean there might be some paperwork out there)
