Re: Before we "move on"...
Huh?Don...I also believed the meetings lack of announcement in advance robbed the membership of their participation. That was the single major contributor for my willingness to accept the nomination that morning. There are things that I think that we can do better as I have delineated in additional responses. That is my answer to my why now. Shannon
If you agree membership was uniformed, why wouldn't you as a sitting member of the BoD suggest an approach for implementation to correct that deficiency first - and only after that was implemented, proceed to a nomination process?
How long would that have taken?
Maybe no later than your regularly scheduled BoD meeting at the National Convention - 5 months away?
Your logic escapes me when you acknowledge having an "uniformed membership" and yet you correlate that acknowledgement as it being your "single major contributor for...willingness to accept the nomination that morning".
Mike wasn't leaving the Presidency before the Convention, right?
I don't get it.
What's the rush?thx,

Re: Before we "move on"...
Young lady, you would be well served by using some of your "youthful exuberance" to obtain wisdom, compassion for others, and, most important, integrity. Your "youthful exuberance" does not give you a pass on these important human qualities.Jerry,
For my ability to continue to bring my passionate and youthful exuberance while focusing on the need for the NCRS to dramatically improve on its’ marketing, social media, branding, service excellence and advancement of technology to allow this group the opportunity for the growth potential that is essential for the longevity of our club.

Re: Before we "move on"...
One thing that stands out as a change is that there are threads and posts questioning and disagreeing with the senior management and NOT having the threads and posts locked or deleted. WOW!The light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off.- Top

Re: Before we "move on"...
The real question is, will any of the infamous "5" ever say anything. Their silence is deafening.......

Re: Before we "move on"...
Don't expect anything from the infamous "5". One of the "5" represents our chapter (North Central), and you would get better results from a Macy's mannequin as he has been MIA from our activities since he was hard wired into his position over another person that was hood winked out of the election.- Top

Re: The Change
I'm relatively new to the club so this is all interesting to read. It seems to me there may be legitimate grievances on both sides of this issue but I only know what I've read in these posts. Perhaps the process should in fact change so future leadership transitions or other directional changes can happen with less drama. I'm grateful that it is being discussed in an open forum where we can all follow along and comment if desired.
If it's inappropriate for the TDB by definition then perhaps there should be a new section added to the forum to discuss ideas that aren't strictly technical in nature.
For what it's worth, I feel that our regional director, Rick, is very involved in our chapter activities. I appreciate all that he does.- Top

It indeed is inappropriate on this Technical Discussion Board. I vow to keep it here until we can place it a created Membership Discussion Board. Those motions have already been put into place.

Re: The Change
Ms Urton, this has progressed to the point of ideocracy.
Did you or did you not attended virtually the Past presidents meeting in Florida Friday Februar25, 2022, the day after the ambush of Mike Ingham.
Would you care to share the sentiment of that meeting? Never mind I have it and in a free speech society I can state it, in that meeting Dick Capello, Vito Cimilluca, Vinnie Peters and Mike McCagh the only Past presidents in attendance other than Mike Ingham to the man suggested you resign immediately from the office of Bloomington Gold That request of you was made by the active past presidents who have led this organization for the last 32 years. Call a special election before your resignation announce your true agenda and allow the membership to here from their directors, then with the proper timing in a true and fair election where four of the nine directors are not blindsided you can ascend to the presidency without having this black mark beside your name or the organization.
If you deny this Ms Urton you continue to put your misplaced EGO ahead of the organization.
