Re: Next Board Meeting
That's a good question, also what is the process for and who can submit agenda items?Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: Next Board Meeting
All these years, I never received an agenda on a Board meeting. Is this something new, or are you just making a request? During the previous presidency, I just got a copy of the minutes (after the fact information).

Ed, this obviously reflects the rapt anticipation and giddy excitement of a new leadership promising totally open and completely transparent operations of the board, so that we peons can feel more informed and involved with our society.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Oh, but I don't think it will stretch that far (never know though). But, you can always send her a message with any recommendations or ideas you may have. I know I plan to. Hey, what do we have to lose?Ed Nieves

Re: Next Board Meeting
Shannon,
At the general board meeting in Lakeland, when March 11 date was set, it was identified as the "next board meeting" not an executive session.
It has been my understanding that executive board meetings were only held to discuss sensitive items. Since there was no mention of this at Lakeland, what has changed?
I would also mention that this date was set at the regular board meeting and not the earlier executive session, both of which occurred at Lakeland.
Since this sounds more like the next general board meeting, there should be a call in number for membership to listen to the proceedings. With today's technology that should not be a problem.- Top

The next scheduled NCRS Board of Directors Meeting that will be open to the entire membership will be held on July 29, 2022 at 7:00 am in the Renaissance Hotel Grand Bay Ballroom in Mobile, Alabama.

Re: Next Board Meeting
You're right. Look forward to your continuous leadership. Congrats again.Dick et al.,
To address your concerns, your NCRS Board of Directors have had the opportunity to have more frequent meetings via Zoom to address, in a timelier fashion, any decisions needing to be made by the Board of Directors on your behalf. The ‘previous historic way’ required important items to wait until the next scheduled Board of Directors meeting, which might have been months away, until crucial items could be voted upon by your Board. This process has recently improved for the benefit of all because your Board of Directors are willing to commit more of their time for YOU. When events like this occur today, we meet to discuss and then vote on your behalf without the need for our officers, editors, and membership which we call an Executive Session. This has been our process for some time. With the recent resurgence for membership wanting to participate in our Board of Directors meetings, it should be noted that membership participation occurs ONLY in our general sessions and is done so in a regimented fashion. Those meetings have in the past and for the immediate future will be announced, in advance, which will include July 29, 2022, in Mobile, October 27, 2022, in Frisco, February 23, 2023, in Florida, our Annual Board of Directors meeting usually in March planned for 2023, July 28, 2023, in French Lick and then again in Frisco on October 19, 2023. I hope this clears things up to the differences between those meeting type designations. Feel free to reach out to your regional Director, or to me, for any further clarification.
Respectfully,
ShannonEd Nieves

So I am guessing from her reply, this next meeting is to discuss personnel actions?Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: Next Board Meeting
I think the agenda for the meetings should be released before hand to the membership. That would be transparent, and something we could talk with our director about before he votes, that would also be transparent.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top
