The support tabs on the upper and lower front fiberglass valance have broken off on my 1966. Additionally the upper tab on the grill is broken off. I need to form new support tabs on the valance and fabricate and weld a new tab to the grill. Could someone please send a picture of their grill/valance in that area so I have a visual to form new support tabs as accurately as possible.

Re: Grill and Valance middle supports
Walter Here are a few which may help.
The loose part is a cutoff tab from a 63+ GM surround I used as a guide on a '67 broken tab. I used a mixture of chopped mat and resin.

Here's a '66-67 grille. Not a good close-up of the tabs but you may be better off fabricating some sheet steel and riveting to what's left.

Research the brackets that attach to the grill. We see repairs done on the judging field and most are not typical production and subject to a deduction.Mike Doty
