Re: Tripmeter Question
The trip meter on my 67 still works. I always reset it to zero on Jan 1st of each year, and record how many miles were driven in the previous year (usually less than 500).
However, when I reset the numbers, when twisting the reset cable, it is a smooth, even drag until the numbers get to 999.9. Then the cable seems to bind up, and then the numbers jump to read 111.1. I can then reverse the cable direction, and all the numbers return to 000.0. That hard spot in resetting has been present for over ten years.1967 Coupe 427-390 w/air- Top

Re: Tripmeter Question
Both my '67 and '72 trip meter cables work fine, if a little stiff, and if I miss the 00000 I can go around again to take another stab at it. If you overshoot, as I recall, you can also go the other direction with the cable a slight bit to align the numbers.- Top
