69 bright blue carpet color

I'm looking for what the correct color of bright blue carpet looks like. I bought new carpet and it seems to to me to look like a silvery/metallic blue. It's not as dark as the replacement carpet I replacing. I dug out the original 69 carpet from my attic and it too is darker than the new replacement carpet. Any pictures of what it should look like? I can post pictures tomorrow when I get to the car. (rant on) why can't they make the carpet reasonably close in size to the original and and have the binding in the same location as original?

I suggest getting samples from those who make carpet (Top Flight, Al Knoch, ACC, MidAmerica). You may want to call them first and get a few different shades. In trying to match carpet for the 63 in the shop I had the same issue. Everyone sells "their" version of blue which doesn't match the other guys or the factory color.

You may find that the color they suggest for a 66, for example, matches your original 1969 carpet.

Mark, this picture pertains to a 1967, but you can see the difference in the stowage carpet for replacement carpet and original carpet.

Tim, that is how mine looks. My OEM is a lot darker than the new carpet, like your picture. Does (did) the original carpet get dark like that because of age and the new carpet is actually correct color when the original carpet was new?

Most companies will make you a set in whatever shade you want that they have in stock.
Thus the reason you should call and ask for samples.
