TI or non - TI ignition

How do I tell if my 1966 Covette with 327 / 350 engine has a TI ignition or not?

Open the distributor cap window and look to see if it has a point set.

A quick way is to look for a Ballast Resistor that is left of the Master Cylinder on the firewall. If its there
then no TI and vise versa. Larry

Post #4 says no points, right? - indicating it is TI
Post #6 says yes (it does have a ballast resistor), right? - indicating it is not TI

              Did I miss something here?
              thx,

I think post #4 might be the reply to post #2 (picture of amp)

Correct. No amp and a ballast resistor. Sorry for any confusion.

Good catch... glad it got resolved and didn't cause a global thermonuclear war!
