Well I am finally getting around to attempting to change the speaker in my car I tested another speaker that I bought, in its place to be sure the original speaker is dead well it is. I have most of the under dash apart with along way to go. Is there a guide to change out that speaker before I go to far ? I am up to the clock and the drivers side duct being in the way. 65 year old hands are having a tough time in the space. Thanks all Ughhh

Re: 67 C 60 Speaker
Bill, as you are aware the C60 duct work is fragile. just take your time and all should go well.
Are you using an original 10 OHM speaker? Also, the original speaker was part 7282156 ( for non-C60 and C60 cars) , it's stamped on the speaker. The Service Replacement is 7282256. The 7282256 has a thinner profile and may be easier to install.

Re: 67 C 60 Speaker
Harry thanks it turns out that the replacement speaker that I bought from LIC a few years ago is only 4 ohms I guess I will have to send the original out for repair I hope it does not take to long should I move the dash cluster out to get to the drivers side nuts- Top

Re: 67 C 60 Speaker
Bill,
When I did mine I had the glove box and the instrument cluster out. I hope I never have to do it again. You need a good 1/4" drive set with swivels, extensions and some deep sockets a mirror and magnet (for the nuts you drop). As Harry said take your time and go gently. I may have some pictures if you want, but I don't think they would be much help.
Don't forget to disconnect the battery.
Kind regards- Top

Re: 67 C 60 Speaker
Pete Harry thanks. I will move cluster out as far as the wiring will allow. I will need to pick up a long 1/4" extension. One thing I have learned getting older is extreme patience. I thought recovering the seats was a POA- Top
