1957 Hood release cable routing

I am installing a new hood release cable on my 1957. The cable I removed was not original and was routed incorrectly (not in the clip under the dash) etc. I have been unable to find a diagram of the correct routing. Can someone help? Thanks!

Not a lot of detail but it might help.

You might want to do a web search on: C1 hood won't open stuck ... etc. Typical response link below.

Point is, you might consider having a SECONDARY hood release in place to avoid BYITA situations.
