C2 66 Carpet correct weave direction and binding

I ordered a carpet set from Al Knock for my '66 coupe. I asked for the correct cut to pass NCRS judging for Weave direction.

Now that I am preparing to install I have a couple Questions.

1. Is the correct weave direction for the front carpets and storage area and back - Front to Back or Side to Side? Mine are clearly front to back which is easy to see from the underside.

2. The Storage area and back binding for my coupe runs across the rear top then no binding as the top edge reaches the fender carpet and the resumes as it runs back to center and side to storage compartment. The carpet I removed had binding on all edges with exception of the from storage area. which is correct for a 66 coupe?

It is going to be a judged car.

Hey Mark, I'm certainly not the expert on here but during the tech session on Saturday we were told that the correct orientation is cross car direction. Apparently when ordering from Al Knoch you can get it that way if you pay extra and ask, otherwise it comes front to rear. I wish I had known before I bought mine...
