What's the cast date and cast # of the block. Date should be any where from a few days to 2 months before assembly date. Cast number should be a 512 block.

The cast date is on the side of the block, almost hidden by the oil filter. I expect a October- Nov. 69 date. example J109 [OCT] K109 [NOV]. I like the stamp, but AL is the expert.

Cool, That's another indicator that your block is original as Oct 28 69 works for your cars build date.
