We lost Rick Twining this past week. He was doing what he loved, attending the Indiana Regional in Auburn as part of the 63/64 Judging team. Rick was a long time member of NCRS and the New England Chapter. I will miss my friend as many of you will also.

Re: RIP Rick Twining
I got word of rick' passing out , and ultimately passing away , right before the judging started Friday. Rick and I have been mechanical judges for carlton for over 25 years and had I gone to auburn, I'd have witnessed his demise. I still can't believe my old buddy is gone.no finer mechanical 63-64 judge than Rick. condolences to his family and Kathy. RIP Rick. mike mccagh- Top

Re: RIP Rick Twining
And he was a MAC member. I saw it happen. Several people made gallant effort, including President Shannon Urton, to save Rick's life. To no avail. He was the essence of NCRS. Very sad and tragic. RIP Rick. You will be missed.- Top

Re: RIP Rick Twining
Another note about Rick. He really knew the midyear fuel injections A to Z. When I met him over 25 years ago we talked many times. I kept teaching him everything I knew. He was very passionate and a true gentleman.
Every year at Corvette Carlisle Rick and Kathy would come to see me. Rick always put me to the test and vise versa.
He kept a log book full of photos and info on most every mechanical part on a '63-'64. Always had a grin on his face.- Top

Re: RIP Rick Twining
From previous meets, I knew Rick by sight buy not by name.
I recall seeing his familiar face on Thursday, around the judging hall.
Wish I'd have had a chance to welcome him.
Blessings and Peace to his family and friends.B.D.

Re: RIP Rick Twining
I had the privilege to have had Rick as a Mechanical judging partner on numerous occasions. You couldn't ask for more. He was always humble in sharing his immense product knowledge, generous in his conversations, and made us laugh with his laugh. It was an honor to have had the opportunity to "work" with him. Always considered him a teacher, a mentor, and a friend . Rick, you epitomized this society and have taught us many lessons, even now.
May we all be reminded why we are here. Friends first and then the cars. In that order. God speed Rick.- Top

Re: RIP Rick Twining
My condolences to Rick's family and especially to Kathy.
Rick was doing what he loved. He was looking at a gorgeous black fuel injected car. This gave all of us pause to think about our lives and how we live them . A sad way to start the meet. I know a few members (I'll not mention their names for their privacy) were particularly moved by this event. I saw Shannon and a few others try their best to save him. This experience gave me pause to examine what I am doing and why. RIP Rick.Terry- Top

Re: RIP Rick Twining
As this weekend comes to an end, our hearts are very heavy with this loss of Rick. Please keep Kathy and the family in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult of times. Many of you have asked about arrangements, which are not yet finalized, but likely will be a small private service, which is what Rick would have wanted. God speed to Rick in the most magnificent fuelie he could ever imagine.- Top
