Rick was extraordinary at his craft judging Mechanical. Had the pleasure of working with him and also having him judge my car. You always ended a conversation with Rick more knowledgeable than when you started. He performed so much original research, especially on fuel injected cars, and was always prepared, organized and extremely fair with his judging. Rick simply was a treasure to NCRS.

RIP Rick. It is very surreal seeing those we are used to seeing year after year then they are gone. Will always be in. our thoughts and memories. The old. saying is so true, don't know what we have until it-THEY -are gone. Condolences to Kathy.

Thank you for posting this picture of Rick, it is the pose that is most familiar. Sharyl and I always enjoyed visiting with Rick and Kathy when we saw them at NCRS events, they were both such positive people. I saw Rick across the judging field at the recent Louisiana Regional but never managed to catch up with him, it makes me very sad. Another cherished friend gone too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kathy and Rick's family.

Very shocking. One phrase always used to describe Rick was he had a smile on his face. I don't think NCRS had a more dedicated member. My condolences to Kathy and his family.

Friday, 4/29, was such a sad day for NCRS and for Rick's friends and family. I cannot believe that he was gone just hours after we exchanged pleasantries on Thursday. Cathy was not in attendance, and I'm sure it made things even more difficult for her. Rick was one of the 1963-64 go-to guys, usually judging Mechanical with Mike McCagh. He was an extremely qualified judge, a good guy and a friend. He will be missed. Thanks to the local EMT's, Shannon and other volunteers; your efforts are appreciated.
