Re: POR 15 Chassis Black Paint

I used it in 2005 on my 67. Car is a National Top Flight car still looks great. I have read these comments about non UV resistant and fading. In my experience have not seen this, but my car stays inside like I am sure 99% of all of our cars do.

    Good luck

      Gary,

I was looking at the POR 15 Chassis Black paint that can be bought in the 15 oz. spray cans. Will definately use a mask with cartriges when I paint.

I was hoping to get some other comments on different brand of paint that members have used.

      Good to hear from you.

        James,
I have seen frames done with Eastwood's Chassis Black that looked very nice. Especially, as you're not removing the body from the frame and can't go the powder coating route.

So I'm looking at possibly using the Eastwood Chassis Black paint in the satin finish. The '65 TIMJG references flat black for the frame not a satin finish.

So what is the paint sheen difference between the frame paint finish and the wheel well black out finish or are they the same paint finish?
