I assume the answer is probably in the 1969 judging manual, but I do not have one. Did all 69 Muncie transmissions use the A, B, C codes for M-20, 21, 22 or did this symbol start after October 1968.

They began IIRC October 21st 1968 - my last 69 Z built the last week of Oct 68 had a Oct 19th trans which was not suffix coded.

Yes James is correct. I just recently researched this subject extensively and yes the A B and C codes where absent on early 69 cars until Oct 21st. My car was built on Sept 13th and does not have the B code for close ratio tranny.- Top
