      Fred that appears to be a service replacement as you suspected.
      New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.

          Fred,
          As you mentioned, it doesn't appear to have the lower water tube that is present on Corvette C2 tanks. It, also, appears to have some kind of flange around the base, not seen on C2 tanks.


          Can't really see the right side of the tank or the backside...could it be a tank from a C1?

              I have seen them on original 1960's Shelby Cobras.
