NCRS Restorer CD's and Windows 10 - Is there a current work around?

My NCRS restorer CD's from 2011, 35th edition 58-60 and 63-64 won't open the articles. I've read there were issues after XP and I searched the data base to see if there was either a program that could be installed so they could work on windows 10 or if some newer formatted CD's would be available. The store does not list any newer ones as currently available from what I can see.

I had these downloaded and also tried the actual disks and they will open to the index as normal, but the individual articles don't open anymore.

Would appreciate any solutions available, those CD's contain some great info, hope it can still be accessed.

I had to buy the newer version as well.
Note that only the articles are included, not reports on any events or other similar items we normally see in the Restorer. So, don't expect to see every page of the old issues. I did ask Dave in the Store to consider adding all of the pages at some point if they can.

Thanks Patrick, I was not sure if out of stock meant more were coming or if unavailable. Everything from 56-72 is listed as out of stock now. Hopefully more will be available soon.

I could be wrong, but check with David King... as some CD's might be produced upon request/payment.
(perhaps low sales prevent inventory stocking... allowing you to obtain the most recent articles)

I think he batch orders them on occasion.
You could always email and check. I had him notify me when they returned to the store.

Also remember the full issues starting with the Spring 2017 issue can be accessed online by clicking on "online publications"...these issues contain the full magazines including results etc. once you get to the current issue, in the top left of the page there are 3 horizontal lines, click on the lines and in the dropdown box, click on "archive" and it will bring you to a page where you can access any issue from Spring 2017 to date...these magazines can be downloaded directly from the site, including articles, results etc.

If anyone needs a specific article, send me an email with the issue and article specified and I'll pdf it and send it.

I was hoping for the full issues of the older ones. Most of my collection disappeared in my move 6 years ago.
Thus my reason for hoping all of the content of the issues was included.

Pat...unfortunately when the CD's were first produced it was only Tech articles...if you recall, they were broken down to tech articles from C1, C2, C3 etc...no human interest or anything else was included in the original CD's...which were not called Restorer...it was just tech articles pulled from the old issues...as it evolved, it was broken down into Restorer issues...and then about 10 yrs ago, it was suggested that everything be included, but it only evolved into the President's Message, Judging Chair, but not results...and it's still that way today...when I send the 4 issues to the person that makes the CD's, I send the entire magazine, cover to cover, but apparently only articles are included now...probably a board of directors decision as to tell the producer to make it cover to cover...whether it will happen, I have no idea...

As I'm sure everyone knows, both CDs and DVDs are just about obsolete. Many laptops don't come with a drive any longer. Is it possible to upload the contents of the old CDs and DVDs to the Online Publications section?
