    The casting configuration is like what I have seen on late model cars. "H" is 1968, I've been told. If you follow the calendar, "F" would be 1992?
    The ears where the mounting bolt goes through, have a flat and an extra rib. During 1973, they added the flat on the casting, the rib came later.

        That fuel pump looks great , i was thinking of having what i was told to be original fuel pump that came with car. But now i do not think it is , the number is 298R40658 and it has 2 holes in the body in each of the places you have 1 hole. Does anybody know what this date is?

          Up through 72, maybe into early 73???, the fuel pumps should be shaped liked this around the bolt boss. I've seen an early 73 with a flat of the bolt boss, but no rib on it. I think that came later in the year. Even later, the number of weep holes changed. New update to the 68-69 and 70-72 TIM&JG's will have better descriptions and pictures.

              pretty easy...
              H = 1968
              I = 1969
              J = 1970
              K = 1971 so on, so on....

                I did a lot of research on AC fuel pumps years ago.

                EXAMPLES of AC Fuel Pump stampings:
                "FF40433" (June 1966), Early 1967 Corvette (VIN # 183)
                "HH40669" (Aug. 1968), 1969 Camaro Z28, "V0912DZ" (Sept. 12, 1968)
