I went to Trim Parts website and pulled up the item I purchased and the picture of the light looks the same…no threads.

I figured I can’t be the only one to have purchased these lights and encountered this issue.
Am I missing something? Is there a special way to secure these things?
take a look at these images. I included a screen shot of the TP web image.

The threads are cut by the nuts. The posts are relatively soft metal (zinc diecast). The special nuts are steel and "self threading".
