    67 Door panel vapor barrier

Do 67's have the paper type door panel vapor barrier or is it the plastic one as the parts suppliers suggest ?. The car has a dried out brown paper one now. Early 67 car.

It is my understanding the early cars had paper and the later cars received the polyethylene plastic. I have a September build 67 and it was paper so my guess would be a bit later than that.

The '67 AIM call out paper inner panel liners. The plastic ones available will certainly work and they're not judged. Or, you can get some heavy brown paper from most big box hardware store or local nursery and make your own liners...just a thought.

I'm prettty sure my unrestored May '67 (owned since 12/79) has the plastic barrier.

Before I restored my November 66 built roadster it still had the original passenger door panel installed. When I removed it the plastic liner was installed.
My January 67 BB Coupe with original interior has the plastic liners behind the door panels.
          Hope this helps.

What I have seen on mostly 1966 cars is a combination of black plastic and brown paper as a one-piece vapor barrier. Black plastic on one side and brown paper on the other side.
