Good morning- Probably not the most challenging question that will come up this week, but I need some assistance removing and replacing the wipers on my C4 (1995). I have purchased AC/Delco replacements. The blades currently on the car are not cooperating in the removal process. I assumed inserting a screwdriver blade in either of the two slots and pushing down would release the blade. What incredibly obvious and simple step am I missing? Thanks.

Check your Owner's Manual, it will have "how to" replace the wiper blades

Re: 1995 Coupe Windshield wiper blade replacement
Thanks, Gary. 1st place i looked was the Owner's Manual. too bad the previous two owners didn't keep the car all GM. Inserting a screwdriver in the notches shown in the attached image do nothing to loosen the wiper off the shaft.- Top

Re: 1995 Coupe Windshield wiper blade replacement
I once spent several hours figuring out how to remove and replace wiper blades on a 2005 Jag XJ (wife's old car). A couple of years after she traded it in for a 2013 Jag XJ, I spent another couple of hours figuring out those wiper blades... completely different design.
I felt like an idiot each time ("Honey, I thought you knew how to work on cars. Maybe you should have the parts counter guy look at it."), but replacing a clutch on any Chevy is more straight forward. Each one is a unique Chinese puzzle.Mark Edmondson
