I recently bought a 1962 Corvette in Portland Oregon, and drove it from there back to my home in the Washington D.C area. Wonderful drive, and experience. Here are some pictures. I will be reaching out here as I start to work on the car. Thanks Frank

Re: New C1 1962 Corvette to the Family
Thanks all for the great feedback. My wife and I own a 66 L79 air coupe, that I am completing a major mechanical rebuild. Hope to be finished in 2023. That brings me back to why this car now? Quick backstory on this car as told to me is always west coast car. Long-time owners. Sold to an NCRS member advertised on line here on in the classifieds. Very original car. Looks like original drive train (300hp, 4spd, 370 rear) and interior, has been repainted. A solid 5 footer. Meets our criteria perfectly a good driver quality car. So, I retired from the Army in 2020 at the peak of the pandemic, immediately took a civilian job for Uncle Sam. Between pandemic, new job, completing a Masters, I really did not get the chance to transition from multiple combat tours, and a working career in the military. This opportunity came at a time when I needed to unwind and de stress. I took 5 days to make the drive. Each stop for food and gas brought opportunities to talk with people who would share car stories and just talk about everyday life. I came away with even more appreciation of how great a country we live in. How blessed we are. The whole buying experience between NCRS members who treated me as family, and then the drive across country experience for me are once in lifetime.Frank Clark
