Re: 67 Hardtop Installation
Tom,
Got a manual hoist with rope from Amazon for $20, hung from ceiling. 2000 breaking strength. Using that with cargo straps. It helps to have an assistant to help since it tends to rotate. Also considered a motorized hoist from Harbor Freight for about $120. More difficult to install but probably easier to use than manual rope hoist. I don't know if the motorized hoist would run smoothly enough to gently lower the top though. Maybe someone else has tried this option.
Keith,
Thanks for the tip on raising the deck lid to install the bolts. I'm also new to this hardtop installation on my 63. I had trouble getting the side bolts in last Fall. Had to really push down on the top to get the bolt on one side to align with the hole in the deck. That would make it much easier if the deck lid was at least unlatched. Were you able to get the two rear nuts installed? I found the soft top does not allow enough clearance to get my hand and a wrench in. This info may help Tom also. Thanks- Top

Re: 67 Hardtop Installation
As others have said. have another person attach the side screws ,lift the rear deck & tighten the nuts with the washers. Have seen people use small strips of felt under the rear rubber seal.65 350 TI CONV 67 J56 435 CONV,67,390/AIR CONV,70 454/air CONV,
