I will say that my brother didn't even trailer the car with the tires on it, he aired them up at the show installed them, then deflated them and removed them before trailering the car home.
I beleive that the flexible foam used in offroad construction tires would be the way to mitigate the risks of blowout JUST for judging.
If there is no air pressure, just the car weight, if the steel belts break how much tension are they under, would it likely hurt someone or destroy a fender? ?

James probably not a high risk and a great idea.

even for the non dot mid year tires that seem to be much stronger for being 55 years old

as far as the fords the are still call exploders, just now it’s the engines
