If I am reading your post correclty, one headlight is 100% open and the other one still needs to travel another 20% to be 100% open? They were never 100% in sinc when opening or closing.

When they are fully closed and you hit the "open" button - do they rotate at approximately the same speed? My guess is no - which suggests you have a motor problem on the slow one or..... the bushings on both sides of the slow bucket are not clean and operating smoothly.

Francis, I replied to your PM a few days ago. You got it, right?

When you have the motors out rotate the buckets by hand - there should be virtually no drag. If they require more than the weight of your hand on them to get them into motion the lube in the ball sockets on each side of each bucket has dried up - metal surfaces may be corroded and dragging. As for lube - not white lithium - any synthetic high temp bearing grease will work fine. If you have never disassembled and restored HL motors - suggest you go thought the Database of Restoration docs in the sticky file folder of this forum - you should find a few good how-to documents on HL motor restoration. Good luck.

Check your dimmer switch, I found an issue with mine. Also drained the Battery.
