Everyone has their favorite - I used Welwood's contact cement. The advantage of using this as compared to spray adhesive is you can control the application - no over spray on adjoining pieces of carpet or interior components. If you decide to go this route go to a Dollar Tree (or some other discount store) and get a pack of cheap bristle paint brushes - use them and throw them away. DO not try to use those black or dark grey sponge /foam brush pads - the chemicals in the Welwoods will eat the foam in about 20 seconds. The Welwoods will hold for a long time - but it is not forgiving - there is a reason they call it "contact" cement. Position the piece of carpet exactly where you want to install it - then roll back about half of it - apply the cement to both sides - liberally - wait a few minutes and then roll the two glued surfaces together. It aint going no where. Then do the other half. Good luck.
