    69 427 Oil Line

    Referring to the attached picture:

    - Anyone know where I can buy just the compression fittings?
    - The line on the bottom is a repro while on the top is a line I took off one of my prior Corvettes. The judging manual says the line is steel and has a picture which is just a plain steel line, like on the top. The repro appears to be steel core but with a copper laminate or some such. Assume plain steel is correct? Assuming so has anyone ever tried removing the copper coating?

    Thanks,

    Jack

    Copper coating is correct.

      Jack,
The fittings can be purchased at hardware or auto parts stores.

Not at any stores around me to include - Lowes, HD, ACE, Oreily's, Advanced, AutoZone - at which point I gave up. These are not the standard "barrel" shaped compression fittings which I have no problem finding.

Try McMaster Carr. Their on-line catalog is the gold standard for on-line catalogs. If you have the measurements of the line I would bet they have the connectors and associated parts.
