      Winston,

I had to pay over 475 dollars for a "spare remote" to have a back up for PV. They are expensive when they can be found typically on eBay. I have two and will part with one if you need one.

According to my 95 owners manual, the car was delivered with one fob.

What is the GM part number of the key fob you bought? If it's 12490830 I don't think that's a correct key fob for a 1993-96 Corvette. It may or may not work, but I don't think it's the correct part. The last GM part number I can find for a coupe was GM #10282929 but there may have been a later replacement also now discontinued. The last GM part number for a convertible I can find is GM #88960924 and that's definitely now discontinued.

Do you have a photo of your original fob?
My original fob, which I still have has a broken case that won't snap together. My car also came with a later design screw together fob that some moron destroyed prying on the case trying to change the battery, not noticing that it had screws on the back side. While prying on the case the idiot managed to destroy the wire windings for the PKE. The fob Mirrock is selling me is a discontinued
second design NOS fob still in the original package that has screws holding it together which is what I wanted.....no latch tabs to break. Mirrock has put out a video that covers everything to know about the different fobs. One fascinating thing I learned from the video is that if you replace your one button convertible fob with a two button fob that came with the Corvette coupes, the hatch release button on the coupe fob will open the hatch on the convertible for stowing the convertible top!

I would think not as one button vs two. and where the pad has to touch to make it work

the cases are the only thing different. i have both and can say that the guts are identical.

I can tell you for certain, that the 94 coupe that I bought new only came with one, and I purchased a second--a friend who was the parts manager at a Cadillac dealer ordered it for a whole lot less than the Chevy dealer wanted. Never made sense to me that a car, Corvette or otherwise, that comes with two keys only came with one remote fob.

If you think the key fob is hard to find try finding a rear GSC tire 94- been looking for a few months for left rear-
Truth is on many 93-95 parts there just are not a lot of us restoring 93-95's and willing to pay for parts. I am doing several of the owners folder inserts and stickers, will post soon for NCRS , but it sure is not for the profit !
