DO NOT THROW ANYTHING AWAY !!!. As you progress in to the restoration you will probably find out 60% original is probably and hopefully less than reality. I restored over 9 years a 350/350 70 convertible. I started with rusted out dog, bad start- but it was the year, color and equipment I always wanted. Finally Top Flighted a couple months ago- You will find there is way too much junk repro stuff out there, Buy the NCRS judging guide, 70 assembly manual and take your time. The guys here on this site will help with the hundreds of questions you WILL have, NCRS is your best friend. Take as many photos of every single detail on your car before you start, and then take even more- they will be priceless when it comes time to figure what you have and need. There are guys that restore about everything to NCRS standards, ask around. I can not tell you how many things I did in a rush, and then thew away boxes of junk and had to do all over right the second time. A full NCRS Top Flight is not inexpensive if you do it right or start with a 100% car. This is like a jig saw puzzle, take your time, ASK for advise and help. Do it because you enjoy it, it is habit forming. You will make friends, you may never see them in person, but you will consider them friends down the road. I took that '70 out last month for a good drive, it was like being a teenager again.

I have a '70 350/350 convertible with 60k miles that I bought from the original owner. I can be a reference point for you.
