During my recent BG judging I was told that the bosses (flat, oval surfaces) on my front spindles should not have the orange paint and should be bare. How many will I find per side? I haven't looked at them closely yet, (I think I can see two without removing the tire) but do I assume that all of these surface sections should not have paint? Easy fix for sure, but want to do it right. Thanks.

Re: "67 front spindle paint detail
Garry,
They were painted before machining, so any milled flat areas should be free of paint. I'll try to find some photos of those areas a bit later.

Rich, I appreciate your looking into it and sending along any photos you might have. I will most likely be able to figure it out once I remove the wheel and tire, but a little guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.Garry Barnes #18531

Garry a few from my records, a '65 coupe. Note the lower(and upper) ball joint flat milled areas also.
