    Re: 1970 LS5 4 Speed Diff Options

    The owner's and service manuals show with the LS5 and M20: 3.08 (std.), 3.36 (n/a with AC). And with M21: 3.08, 3.36 (std.), 3.55, 3.70.

My LS5/M20 with AC came with 3.36 even though the manuals show 3.08 as the only choice with this combination. So apparently other choices were available.

Peter, ah yes now I see the asterisk. I had a 70 LS5 with the 3.36 gear and that was almost over kill, cant imagine what a 3.70 is like. Gary my car was #506!

Based on the (Mecum#03045), the early 70 grill surround should only have one attaching screw with 3 studs.
